When Someone Tells You, By Words or Deeds, Who They Are, Believe Them
Trust your instincts and follow what your gut tells you to do
We don’t listen very well.
That’s been a problem with man in general since the beginning of time. It’s even seen throughout the Bible.
We don’t listen to our instincts nor our gut even when it tells us something is wrong. For the most part, at least.
We can tend to live life with blinders on sometimes.
We tend to see and hear what we want to hear by putting things through the filters that we impose on our own lives. We want things to be the way we want them to be, no matter the reality that is sitting right before us.
Because of this, we do or hear what we want to hear, not what is really being told to us.
It’s human nature. There’s nothing wrong with you or me. It just comes naturally.
We just shouldn’t be surprised when things don’t turn out the way we want or have convinced ourselves that they would turn out.
We shouldn’t be surprised that instead things turned out exactly the way our guts told told us they would turn out.
We’re only human.
Sometimes, however, just being human can really suck.
Think about walking down a dark street in the middle of the night. As you’re walking you see a shadowy figure lurking in darkness.
Instinctively most people will listen to their gut and either cross the street or turn around and avoid contact with that shadowy figure.
At least those listening to their gut and their instincts will feel that way and act that way.
Some, however, will put a societal filter on that feeling.
They will feel those very same gut instincts, but the will put those thoughts and instincts through an internal lens that society has told them that they have see things through, that can place them in great danger.
They may think that if they cross the street to avoid that figure, they may be perceived as racist.
Or they may feel like they are cowardly if they change their direction.
So, with their societal filter as their guide, they walk right up to the shadowy figure and walk right by it, only to find out that their instincts were correct.
They knowingly placed themselves in danger because society told them they had to, and they end up getting mugged.
This is exactly what our government is doing right now to its people and citizens.
Our government is that shadowy figure lurking in the darkness, waiting to mug us!
Our politicians are hoping that we don’t follow our gut instincts and implement avoidance behavior that can save our lives. They don’t want us paying attention to the actual facts before us.
They do want us to give in to their peer pressure and bullying tactics, however, and buy into the garbage ideas that are being fed to us by our government.
There are a lot snake oil salesmen out there.
Personally, I’d say the title is appropriate for most, if not all, politicians. They make promises that are never kept. When in office they act in their own personal interest and that of the collective interest of the controlling bodies.
All they become interested in is staying in power and consolidating their control over our lives.
That’s how we got into the mess that we find our country in right now. Especially economically.
The economy right now is abysmal. Our economy is collapsing and taking with it the financial well-being and safety of our families.
Bidenomics is torching every single area of lives except for those who are enacting and imposing its ideas on the rest of us.
Specifically the politicians and bureaucrats.
These people are still living high on the hog, on our money, while we can’t even afford a slice of bacon anymore!
The government in general, and these politicians specifically, make all kinds of ridiculous promises about how they’re going to give free things to all of us, but only if we give them full power and control over our lives, and waive or give up our rights in the process.
They tell us to just trust them, they know what is best for us.
Here’s some of the things that are promised to us, if we just allow the government, politicians and bureaucrats full control over our lives:
‘Equity’, meaning no matter the effort put in by an individual, everyone can and should end up in the same place, in all areas of life and business.
That the government can forgive or pay off your student loans with no impact to the economy.
That the government can give everyone free birth control and free abortions, which incidentally are not the same thing.
That anyone should be able to come to United States for a better life without any filtering, vetting or requirements. They should be able to waltz right in, not acclimate to American ideals, and make demands regarding our money being provided to them.
That you don’t have to work as much or too hard, but still have what those who do work hard are able to afford.
That employers should be required to pay you the same amount of money, no matter what your productivity level is or how beneficial you or your output is to the company.
That employers should pay a minimum of $20 per hour to all employees whether or not their businesses have the income to do so.
All of this sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? A panacea of perfect living.
Instinctively, no matter how much we want to believe all of this, we all know that this is a load of garbage and it just can’t be true or work in the long run.
We know this because if we just listen to what the politicians are whispering under their breath we can hear the trade offs loud and clear:
You can have ‘equity’ in everything, but only if those who excel at something don’t get compensated or rewarded for their extra skills or effort, or how much they add to a businesses bottom line.
Those student loans that are being ‘paid off by the government” or ‘forgiven’, but the debt is just being added to the federal debt that already exceeds $35 trillion dollars and it will be a burden on those who never benefited from the education and it will especially impact future generations.
It’s the very same thing with the birth control and abortion promises.
Moving on, those immigrating to the United States without permission to enter, or who are ignoring our borders and immigration laws, and are entering without being vetted or screened at all, are bringing diseases that we have not seen in decades.
They are also killing Americans in the range of hundreds of thousands per year, and they are raping and killing American women and children, as well!
They are putting a financial load and burden on our economy, both national and local, that cannot be sustained, and they are being given preferences that those who are here legally are not afforded.
They are even been placed ahead of our military and veteran heroes, who put their lives on the line for our freedoms.
That one I find truly offensive.
Regarding business promises and directives from the government, companies are being told by totally ignorant politicians who never even ran a lemonade stand as a child, that they they have to pay employees more money, let them work less hours, and that can’t reach out to employees after work hours either.
This is because apparently politicians believe that corporate money magically grows on trees and businesses are mysteriously able to run themselves.
Are we all seeing how ridiculous all of this is yet?
If not, let’s continue.
Politicians just whisper under their breathe that we can have all these things if we just pay more in taxes, give up our freedoms, and do what we are told to do without questioning them because, clearly, they know what is best for us.
Even though our guts and brains are telling us the complete opposite.
Meanwhile, as we watch their ideas, rules and regulations get implemented, we are simultaneously watching our bank accounts drain and our personal debt and expenses increase exponentially.
We are struggling financially.
We know and feel it while our shopping carts are having to be emptied at the checkout counter because we can’t afford to buy what we used to be able to afford, on the very same income we had just a few years back.
We know from what we are seeing and feeling that all this is happening.
But then, to add insult to injury, we are told by the government that what we are actually seeing with out own eyes and are actually feeling and actually experiencing, is not reality.
They tell us how the good the economy is right now, how great their changes and our loss of rights is for the greater good, and that we are just too ignorant or stupid to realize it.
The politicians tell us to just pay more in taxes and don’t worry our tiny little brain about it, because they’ve got it under control.
Even though we know better.
There are still so many people who will go along with it and even vote for it, because they are willing to just ignore what they are seeing and experiencing simply because they are being told to, and they are too lazy or proud to admit that they were wrong for going along with it in the first place.
Even though we were told upfront what what going to happen and we knew that it was impossible and did not make any sense, many just became lemmings, hoping for the best, and they are now afraid to change course.
Even though these ideas that were sold to us are having disastrous impacts on our country and our families, many still still just accept it as how things are now.
There comes a time when have to once again start listening to our guts and instincts. Not to just listen, but to act on those instincts, too.
It’s time for us to have the bravery and the guts to speak up like that child who saw the Emperor in a parade and knew that the Emperor was naked, even though all the adults were afraid to say what they saw for fear of repercussions.
Your instincts and your gut know what they are feeling and doing.
Listen to them when it comes to the government like would if you were that person on a dark street at night when you feel like you’re going to get mugged, and you want to avoid it.
I can guarantee you, that the government these days will do anything they can to get you to ignore those innate, instinctual feelings and desire for safety, so they can mug you, mug your bank account, as well as mug your family’s future.
When someone, especially the government or a politician, tells you, by their words or their actions, who they truly are, listen to them and act accordingly.
Your gut knows.
Follow it!
